M’n’N Records is a UK independent label for quintessential artists.
We believe in working with the artist and for the artist. Our ethos is that all good music should be heard, that is why we do not specialise in one single genre. For us, it is about the music, creativity and discovering new talent. We consider ourselves conventional yet modern and offer bespoke agreements. The music industry is extremely competitive, but we believe there is space for talented artists to succeed.
Launched in February 2019, the inspiration behind M’n’N Records is its Chief Executive Officer and founder ‘M’.
Originally from NW London, ‘M’s journey started at the age of 13 DJing at school disco’s and local parties whilst attending Kingsbury High School where its alumni included musicians and artists like Charlie Watts (Rolling Stones), Courtney Pine CBE (Saxophonist), Mutya Buena (Sugababes) and George Michael, a true example of the school’s talented bloodline.
At 16, ‘M’ performed on stage at the Wembley Arena for UK Fresh 86 alongside the biggest names in Hip Hop history. At 18, he already had residency in some of the most prestigious London West End Clubs, working 7 days a week whilst studying a degree in Business Studies at University.
In 1991, at the age of 21, he recorded his first single and was regularly performing in venues all around the UK. ‘M’ was offered 2 major record deals, EMI and Talkin Loud, a subsidiary of Phonogram, who had artists like Omar, Incognito and Young Disciples on their roaster. Both labels predicted top 10 hits but sadly a deal was never signed nor was the single ever released.
With over 30 years’ experience, ‘M’ is now an experienced businessman, a talented producer, prolific song writer and a complete music aficionado.
M’n’N Records current roster includes Dana MacLeod, Danielle Hollobaugh, Zaida & DJ Scandalous. All extremely talented artists who we are very proud to have onboard. If you feel you have what it takes to join our label, please send us your demo.
M'n'N Records are proud official supporters of CALM, The Campaign Against Living Miserably.
